A vacation in Germany is excellent for families who love hiking in the mountains, visiting theme parks, enjoying affordable dining, and exploring fairy-tale castles. The Eifel region is an ideal family destination for several reasons. The most significant advantage is its proximity; just a few hours' drive and you're in a completely different landscape. The Black Forest is a charming destination, offering a mix of sunny vineyards and dense forests, which kids and parents alike will find captivating. As a wine lover, the Rhineland-Palatinate region is a must-visit. The wines are delicious, and the scenic views are equally impressive.

Holland / The Netherlands, by bike, boat or foot

The Netherlands is a treasure trove of family fun. With its flat landscape, cycling along the flower-filled fields is as easy as pie. Dutch cities offer a mix of tradition and innovation, and there's always a playground or a pancake house around the corner to keep the little ones happy. Tuscany is a fantastic spot where you can rent a delightful villa for your family, we chose an authentic Italian home on a mountain, offering stunning views. I have been to Lake Garda numerous times, as a child with my parents and later because my sister lived in Torri del Benaco. Although it can get pretty crowded during peak season, it remains a charming destination. When you're staying near Lake Garda, a day trip to Verona is a logical choice. A vibrant city with much to explore ensures that you and your kids will have plenty to keep you entertained. And then beautiful Rome. Rome offers a wealth of activities that will keep kids of all ages engaged. While some of the city's most famous landmarks may not be ideal for younger children, there are plenty of other activities to fill your itinerary.

Portugal, road tripping to the max!

Portugal is gaining popularity, especially for families who prefer road trips. The majority opt for the Algarve region, well-known for its beautiful weather, stunning beaches, and ample activities. Lisbon is another must-see when we're in Portugal. But is it suitable for young kids? Absolutely, and there are plenty of activities that both parents and children will find exciting. Porto is one of our personal favorite cities in Portugal, offering a variety of activities suitable for both parents and kids. From exploring the city's attractions to taking part in fun outdoor activities, Porto has it all.
